Your project is executed with the day-to-day involvement of our founder and not handed off to less experienced staff. We concentrate on a few curated projects to deliver the best service. Founder & CEO

John "Jad" Dowdy III

With over 27 years of experience, John is a seasoned finance leader with deep expertise in IPOs, debt and equity financing, private equity-backed businesses, international expansion, and scaling finance organizations. Prior to founding Dowdy CFO Partners in mid 2024, he served as a senior financial executive at a publicly traded company in the sustainable materials sector, where he built the finance team from a lean operation into a mature, public company-ready organization. He played a key role in multiple capital raises, including a successful IPO.

Earlier in his career, John was Vice President of Finance for International Operations and Chief Accounting Officer at Yandex (now Nebius), one of Europe’s largest internet companies. There, he led the company’s preparation for its $1.4 billion IPO in 2011—one of the largest tech offerings in Europe at the time—and supported its expansion into the European Union.

John has held senior finance and accounting leadership roles across manufacturing, technology, and media sectors, in both public and private companies. He began his career in public accounting at PricewaterhouseCoopers and has served in a wide range of roles, including Controller, Chief Accounting Officer, VP of Finance, SVP of FP&A, and CFO. He passed the CPA exam in Georgia on his first attempt and graduated summa cum laude with a BA in Accounting from the University of Georgia.
