John "Jad" Dowdy  III

With over 27 years of experience, John is a finance leader experienced in IPOs, debt & equity financing, private equity backed businesses, international expansion, and scaling finance organizations.  John most recently served as SVP of FP&A and CFO of Danimer Scientific, a leading next generation bioplastics company focused on the development and production of biodegradable materials.  While at Danimer, John scaled the finance team from only 1.5 FTEs to a mature organization capable of public company reporting.  John played a pivotal role in numerous debt and equity financings, including Danimer’s successful IPO in December 2020. Before joining Danimer Scientific, John served as VP of finance for international business and chief accounting officer (CAO) at Yandex, one of Europe’s largest internet companies and the leading search provider in Russia. At Yandex, he played a key role in facilitating the company’s $1.4 billion IPO in 2011 and the company’s subsequent expansion into the European Union. Prior to Yandex, John was the CAO of CTC Media, assistant corporate controller for Golden Telecom and an auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers.  He passed the CPA examination in the state of Georgia on his first attempt and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Georgia with a BA degree in accounting.
